Direct flights four days a week between İzmir and Belgrade
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport welcomed Air Serbia's inaugural flight from Belgrade with a ceremony. During the summer season, AnadoluJet will operate direct flights on the same route, increasing the number of direct flights between Belgrade and Izmir to four per week.
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, operated by TAV Airports, welcomed the Air Serbia flight from Belgrade with a ceremony. 66 passengers arrived in Izmir at 15:20 today (April 15) on the JU 0820 flight operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft. The passengers were greeted with flowers at the terminal. Air Serbia will operate reciprocal flights between Belgrade and Izmir every Wednesday and Saturday until October 28, 2023.
With AnadoluJet's flights on the same route starting this week and taking place on Thursdays and Sundays, the number of direct flights between Belgrade and Izmir has increased to four per week.
TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı said "We have had a successful start to 2023 at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. In the first three months of the year, our passenger numbers on international flights have increased by 30% compared to the same period last year. We are also up 34% on international flights compared to pre-pandemic levels. We continue to work with our stakeholders to promote Izmir and increase the number of direct destinations that can be reached. We are ready to welcome guests from all over the world to Izmir this summer season."
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport served 1,942,518 passengers in the first three months of the year. The airport offers flights to 39 destinations in 22 countries with 19 airlines on international routes and 20 destinations in Turkey with four airlines on domestic routes.
