Opening Anniversary Of Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal Celebrated With Music

 

Operated by TAV Airports, Adnan Menderes Airport international terminal's opening anniversary was celebrated with mini concerts. Passengers were greeted at the terminal on September 9th, which is also the Indepence day of Izmir.

Operated by TAV Airports, Turkey’s leading global brand in airport operations, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport was enlivened by mini concerts held within the scope of the anniversary celebrations of the international terminal, which was opened in 2006. Whilst the celebrations for the 92nd anniversary of Izmir's Independence Day continued at the down-town on the very same day, a trio group spread enthusiasm with the melodies worldwide for both anniversaries to the passengers travelling from Izmir.

TAV Izmir General Manager Erkan Balcı stated: “As TAV Airports, we celebrate the anniversary of the Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal, which was opened on September 9th, 2006 and brought fresh life to Izmir’s tourism and trade, and has also carried its relationship with the world to a new level, together with our passengers. The enthusiasm is doubled as today is also Izmir's Independence Day. We wanted to share the excitement regarding this important day with the passengers traveling from the airport by organizing mini concerts. We are happy to experience these feelings at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, entry gate of the city, together with our passengers."

Attracting great interest from the passengers, the trio consisting of the graduates of Dokuz Eylul University State Conservatory performed a selection of melodies from all around the world with guitar, saxophone and accordion. Organized within the scope of anniversary celebrations for the opening of international terminal, concerts were held at Adnan Menderes Airport between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
