Adnan Menderes Airport is the gateway to the Aegean region, which has a strong industrial, agricultural and touristic infrastructure. TAV Airports The company began operating the international terminal in 2006 and the domestic terminal in 2012 following a total investment amounting to €416M. Adnan Menderes Airport holds ACA Level 3+ carbon-neutrality certification. It has two runways, a carpark capacity of 5360 vehicles together with a domestic terminal of 203 thousand sqm and an international terminal of 108 thousand sqm. A train line provides easy access to Izmir city center in 30 minutes. TAV Airports will operate Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport until December 2034.
